For years, a Fairburn summer meant piecing your Saturday together across three counties. Renaissance Festival out on Virlyn B. Smith. A concert at Wolf Creek. Dinner somewhere off Highway 74. This year the city did something quieter and more useful: it put nearly all of its summer programming under one name, on one calendar, at two addresses you can walk between in under ten minutes.
The banner is Fairburn Outside! and the thesis of this post is simple. If you live here, the shortest distance between a Friday afternoon and a full weekend is now a straight line down Broad Street. You don't need to plan around the metro anymore. The metro is planning around you.
